We decided to do a last minute weekend trip. Value for money was fantastic. We got a double room with a private bathroom. Everything met/exceeded expectations. Location is awesome, Less than 10 mins to the main shopping area, Essen itself is quite small, but the hostel is right on the tram line to Essen HBF in one direction and also Zollverein UNESCO World Heritage Site in the other. So very easy to get anywhere.
