Hotel Overview

This rustic hotel is located only a few minutes’ drive from Essen’s city centre and just a 6-minute walk from the lovely Schloß Borbeck manor house and park. WiFi is free in all areas for guests.
The Gimken Landhaushotel offers quiet, individually furnished rooms with modern amenities. Some of the units are fitted with air conditioning. All parts of the hotel are non-smoking and offer disability access.

A fabulous small hotel in Essen Borbeck. Peaceful location but nothing was too far away using public transport only. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn’t mind a little bit of walking.

Good breakfast, good selection. Staff made a real effort to make the stay enjoyable. We were at an exhibition with rooms requirements changing at the last minute, the staff really worked hard to move rooms around to make it work.

For me the hotel is in a convenient location. a 5 minute drive in to the town centre to do some shopping or the choice of 2 parks to easily walk to and enjoy the fresh air. The facilities provided are more than enough, and there is even a free sauna for guests.
