- I booked this hotel for my stay in Essen during Spiel 2024, because the hotel I visited the year before had a ridiculous price hike. This hotel offered value for money so I actually had money left to spend at the board games convention. The location was only slightly further than what I was used to. - On checking in, I was greeted by competent and helpful staff, who even helped me solve a problem I was having (that was not in any way their fault). - The room was clean and it had a comfortable bed and a pleasant temperature. (I also liked the New York/Big Apple style throughout the room.

Most important thing in a hotel for me is, that it is clean and you have a calm environment to be able to sleep well. Both does apply. The staff at the reception was very nice and helpful. I even had water and a selection of tea in my room available.

Good city centre location with parking near Hauptbahnhof and shops. Very clean and tidy with helpful staff.

Nice art on the walls of the room – was there for the football and I had a pitch collage in my room. Breakfast was excellent, far better than an Ibis I stayed in the night before. A short, flat walk from the station. 2pm check-in time was handy and they let me have my room even earlier
