The location in the heart of Medina was not only central, but it also opened our eyes to the daily life of the people living there. It was unbelievably quiet inside the Riad. Our room on the ground floor was spacious and surprisingly airy. Simo and his family are extremely hospitable, and they were attentive to our needs and wishes. We really enjoyed the upstairs terrace, both for breakfast, reading, working and occasional sunbathing. Full package, cannot but recommend Riad Bab Essaouira!

Great location, great roof terrace, great host. NY stay was short and day was windy and little bit chilly but I still loved every second of it. I can highly recommend this charming riad.

Perfectly located to roam around the medina. Although in a dark alley, it feels very safe. Simo and his sister are perfect hosts and go out of their way to make a stay enjoyable!

Situated in heart of the medina down a small lane and very quiet at night this family owned home is great with its clean spacious rooms and tasty breakfast,with upper floors having covered seating area and roof top terrace and Simo the owner who is a excellent host giving all the information that you require where it be tours restaurants or prices for goods you expect to pay there are plenty of restaurants and cafes atm money changer all within easy walking distance

Simo an excellent host. He was very friendly. He picked us up at the main square and showed us the way to his Riad. The breakfast he prepared for us was delicious and ample. We loved it! He happily answered any questions we had about Essaouira. He also recommended a restaurant to us that was exquisite. Simo also told us they would wash some items of clothing that needed to be laundered. That was very appreciated.
