A wonderful location set rurally. Clean and spacious room with excellent facilities both indoor and outdoor. We were made to feel very much at home by Alex and family. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great hosts, hands off but around whenever you needed them. The atmosphere was very relaxing and nothing was too much trouble. The kids enjoyed the pool and playing with the animals.

There was a cupboard with unused ingredients that other guests left and that we could use. Very good method to avoid waste. It was called the sustainable cupboard. Coffe and tea was sold and the money was given to a local charity. Alex gave us a very good introduction of the region and provided with various maps and leaflets.

Sometimes it is difficult to rate a property as it may not be all things to everyone. For us, en route to France and needing an overnight stay, the property was excellent. Not too far from our route and well worth the short drive. The property was in a most scenic part of the mountains and was like a stand alone farmhouse style. The host Alex and his son, greeted us with a smile and gave us information pertaining to the area, of which two recommendations we took. One was a walk through the countryside to the adjoining village which was a great joy and the other was to a simple local restaurant where we ate simple but tasty meals. Our room in the house was large and airy with a scenic outlook of great beauty. The bed and linen were superb and offered us a lovely rest. In an adjoining common area there was the facility to make a hot drink or to purchase cold beverages. A very homely way to provide extra touches. The shower was good and strong and the bathroom modern. We were delighted to have found such a personalised place for us to stay on our journey. Our only regret was that we had to move on the next day as we would have been very content extending our stay.
