We had a lovely stay at Hermes. The hotel is very well located and we were happy with our second floor room with balcony that overlooked the sea and gardens. Listening to the waves from our room was a delight. The room wasn't big, but had plenty of storage and places to put our things. We appreciated having a small fridge. We had a walk in shower which had a grab rail, something I wish all hotels would provide. The staff are very friendly, and efficient. Breakfast was included and we were very happy with the hot and cold selection, especially the cold meats and fried eggs. There was also a good choice of types of coffee. The bar is comfortable and a pleasant place for an evening drink. We loved the views from the hotel, the sea one side and the port the other. The location is perfect for visiting the town of Ermoupoli.

Good position close to restaurants and shops and about 5 mins walk to ferry terminal. Comfortable room with sea views. Good breakfast and attentive staff in all areas of hotel. Syros good choice for a longer stay. Only planned to stay 2 nights but ferry strike meant we stayed 5 nights. However turned out to be a lucky break as enabled us to explore the island.Ermoupolis attractive town and plenty of walks in the area. Some great beaches and seaside towns in South and West of the island so not just a city based holiday.Went in late October but weather in day was pleasant and much warmer in West of the island so sun and sea bathing possible.

Location of hotel and views from the room was spectacular.Also, cleanliness, and breakfast were good. Staff were polite and helpful. Lobby is comfortable to sit while waiting for the ferry.Very tasteful decor, pleasing atmosphere. Small pebble beach .

We really enjoyed our stay at Hermes and will definitely book here when visiting Syros again. It has a fantastic location not too far away from the port. We booked a sea view room and we were so happy with it - the balcony offered the most fantastic views stretching out across the water. Our room was large, very clean and the bed was big and comfy. The hotel has a great area with sun loungers and small steps down to the sea, making it really easy to go swimming. The breakfast is fairly basic but good for the price and with decent variety.
