First mentioned in 1608 and family-owned since 1908, the hotel Zum Schwarzen Bären in the scenic Wachau region combines tradition with modern amenities like a 400-m² spa area and free internet access.

The place was well located and the breakfast amazing. Staff was pretty nice too. The room was big.

The pool was good choice for these hot days. Breakfast was very good. Very clean bathroom.

We had an upgrade of the room which we appreciated. Staff in the restaurant was very help full in accommodating our puppy dog enabling us to enjoy a full dinner instead of eating in the room. Dinner was excellent. We come again.

The hotel and staff are lovely. The restaurant was above average, really enjoyed our meals there. Pool area a little dated but clean and refreshing.
