Hotel Overview

Originally an 18th-century Lakeland farmhouse, Embleton Spa Hotel is a family-run hotel offering apartments, suites, and en-suite rooms. The Embleton boasts its own swimming pool, steam room, and a gym.
Each contemporary room/apartment features en suite bathrooms and free Wi-Fi. Most have stunning countryside views across the Derwent valley. All the rooms have a TV, a hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities, an iron and 100% cotton linen. A laundry service is also available.
Using ingredients from local farms, the hotel's restaurant serves traditional Cumbrian food. Guests can enjoy their meal in front of an open fire, or on the terrace looking out over the fells. Every morning, guests will enjoy a full Cumbrian breakfast.
Ideal for exploring the beautiful Lake District, Bassenthwaite Lake is just 3 miles away. Keswick and Cockermouth are just 10 minutes away by car. Free parking is available.
Leisure facilities include a pool, steam room and a gym. Use of the pool and steam room are included in the room rates. Please see timetable for availability.

This suite provides a fully-equipped kitchen and a dining area alongside an en suite bedroom. It offers views over the valley and up the valley to Ling and Sale fells. The one-bed suites can easily accommodate travel cots.

Two-Bedroom Apartment - enter dates to see room photos

This apartment provides two separate bedrooms with double or twin beds. It offers a large living area, a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining area and a private ground floor patio area with an outside table and chairs. An extra childs bed or cot can also be accommodated in each of the bedrooms.

Three-Bedroom Apartment - enter dates to see room photos

This apartment features striking views of the Lakeland Fells and a fully fitted kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator. There is a whirlpool bath and a gallery floor with seating area. Also features free use of the pool and spa.

Double Room - enter dates to see room photos

An en suite room with exposed beams and decorative stonework. Most have views looking across Derwent valley towards Ling and Sale fell. Each room has free Wi-Fi, a TV and 100% Egyptian cotton linen. This room can accommodate a cot and an extra bed for children in most of the rooms. Some of the rooms also accept dogs. Please inform the property when booking in the Special Request box should you require either of these.

This family room provides 2 separate bedrooms through a single front door. The first bedroom being a double, with a second bedroom containing twin beds. There is also a third smaller bed or cot that can also be accommodated. There is an en suite bathroom with both bath and shower facilities.

This family apartment provides a large living area with a kitchen and a dining table. Upstairs there is a double bed and 1 single bed, with wetroom and separate toilet. This room also benefits from a roof terrace. An extra childs bed or cot can also be accommodated.

This one bedroom family apartment provides the a living area with a kitchenette, alongside a master bedroom with a double bed and an upstairs mezzanine bedroom for two children. The living room has views across the Derwent Valley. The kitchen offers a fridge, a microwave and a sink. It also includes a sofa and flat-screen TV.

The room was amazing. The room was very spacious. The room was very modern, with balcony seating area. Kitchenette bigger than my kitchen. Very comfortable. Bathroom massive.

This beautiful hotel has the warmest and friendliest staff we’ve ever met. Lovely apartment room, perfect for our family of four and brilliant facilities, especially the swimming pool. Stunning views from every window and the food in the restaurant (dinner and breakfast) was incredible. Our daughter was ill in the night and the team couldn’t have been kinder or more understanding.
