Sitting in the shadows of Ely Cathedral, Lamb Hotel dates back to the 15th century and retains its atmosphere as a thriving coaching inn.
The Lamb boasts 31 comfortable en-suite rooms. Meals and drinks are served all day in the bar and restaurant. Traditional beers, wines, spirits and teas and coffees are available.
The Lamb Hotel's history dates back to the time of King Richard II. Ely has old streets and medieval gateways, timbered houses and parkland stretching down to the River Great Ouse.
Cambridge is nearby, and Newmarket, famous for horse racing, is 19 km away.

Without a shadow of a a doubt one of the best hotels we have stayed in, in the UK. The staff were utterly brilliant in how they worked and lovely personalities it was so friendly and welcoming. Food and service was top notch, we both felt very well looked after from start to finish, just loved it ❤️ Thank you all 😀

Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. This hotel’s not just dog friendly but dog adoring and it made our stay all the more enjoyable!

The Hotel is situated in the town centre, next to the Cathedral and restaurants. It's an atmospheric pub/hotel with a good restaurant and friendly staff. It's an old solid building so no noise carried to the rooms, not squalid or dirty. Things are old and wonky but they work. Our room was big with a high ceiling and they weren't mean with the teas, coffees and biscuits. It was not expensive and has all the facilities. Functional not luxurious.
