Delicious breakfast, clean room, kind hosts, beautiful mountain view, 10-15 minutes walk to town and railway station (with shortcut). Would stay again

We had a great stay at V@Ella, the hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful! The rooms are well-equipped and clean. The view is absolutely incredible! It is a short walk (10mins) from Ella city, which was perfect for us as it's a little quieter, but may not suit everybody, it was very easy to get a tuk-tuk though.

Rooms were clean. Has basic amenities. The owner Mr Jaye is nice. But his daughter in law who was there to attend to the matters wasnt very good at customer services.Not flexible, nor accommodating to the customers requirements! (Anyway locals are looked down badly in Ella in most places. They serve only breakfast and we had a hard time getting food because ,the town is abt 3 kms away .( Tuk tuks are ripping us off , not to talk about their attitudes.) Anyway we stayed there because we had no choice. Food is basic. If you expect 3 meals a day, do not come here.

A simple, comfortable guest house, which was excellent value for money and only a 10 minute walk into Ella. The hosts were absolutely lovely and we were made to feel right at home. Views were gorgeous - Waking up to a view of Little Adam’s Peak and Ella Rock only obstructed by the cheeky, acrobatic monkeys.

Nice room and amazing view. It looks close to the railway on the map, but it's very quiet and calm there. The owner is wonderful, the breakfast was good. The room was very clean, looksexactlyas on photos. When we asked for the early check-in, we were offered to get a takeaway breakfast and a tuk-tuk drive at the check-out time

Up, up and away…beautiful view from our patio of the mountains. We were greeted with kind smiles by our local hosts. So happy that we found a small local homestay to enjoy nature. We can see giant jackfruits hanging from the trees and hear a huge variety of birds. We also enjoyed hearing the train passing nearby. Outside patio has table and 2 chairs; 3 rooms - a small place; train is right behind - love hearing the train passing; owned by a local family; hearing the birds; easy to walk to town - follow the road, then cut to the left and walk alongside the railroad tracks, then cut to the right downhill near the tunnel; you must go visit an amazing Sri Lankan restaurant - Sleek Spoon - wonderful food that is cooked to order; we drove our own tuk tuk and each morning Andy appeared and helped us get up and running 🙂

V@Ella is located in the quiet lanes of Ella. Reaching the location is a bit of a hike but the owner has a tuk tuk and offers drop facilities down to the main road. All rooms in the property are exceptionally clean with a polite host. The location has a total of 3 rooms and hence, you can customise the breakfast as you like. Overall a quiet and peaceful experience away from the hustle of the ella town.

Lovely family run place, best traditional breakfast we had all 2.5 weeks we were in Sri Lanka. Great value for money, bit of a walk to town but can easily cut through down the railway track. Brilliant views for breakfast!
