Good location just 15mins walk to the main town along the railway line. Beautiful view of the waterfall and valley.

Nice host. Guide you the way to the cottage. You have to walk backwards at Ella station along the track for at least 15 mins (Google map doesn’t show the track distance). You will need to bring a torch if you check in late. Just be careful. Outside the room, you will see the waterfall view right in front of you. If you are lucky, you can also see trains passing by behind the cottage as well as next to the waterfall. Easy walk down to Ella town. The host daughter also gives information about different tourist spots and hiking routes, in great details. A warm and welcoming family. Thanks for their help!

The hosts were very helpful and friendly. They met us in the road in the pouring rain with umbrellas and coats and carried our bags. The food was great and they welcomed us into their home. The father was also our 'tour guide' for the day and took us to some amazing places in his tuktuk.

Not the easiest one to find, but once get there you are rewarded with a stunning view. It was a pleasure having breakfast surrounded by wildlife and looking out on the waterfall. The owners are friendly and helpfull.

Absolutely stunning location - waking up to the view and noise of the waterfall was incredible, especially with such an excellent breakfast. The walk along the train tracks to town was fun. Appreciated the squeegee in the bathroom - we are not so used to wet room showers.

This has been my favourite homestay in Sri Lanka - very kind hosts, great breakfasts, breathtaking view to the waterfall ❤️ the place is a bit further from the city and you need to walk in the rails to get there, but that only made it special ☺️ I couldn’t dream it better.

The family running the place was the nicest people we met in Sri Lanka. The view is stunning, with a tuktuk you can reach Ella’s city center in 10 min. There’s a train and waterfall on walking distance.. if just enjoy walking and trekking to stay here.

Serene,calm,full of peace . Breakfast was delicious so was the house owner…such down to earth person the whole family..room was basic but balcony scenario was fascinating..I loved the cottage.
