A truly beautiful oasis up in the hills with stunning views from the balcony to enjoy. Beautiful breakfast spread to relax and take in the views. Owner is so welcoming and ensures that all your needs are catered to. Arranged a taxi down south for me that was much appreciated

The views are incredible and the room was so peaceful and quiet up in the trees. Staff were incredibly helpful and arranged everything we needed.

Sampath is a wonderful host, as are his family - we felt very looked after. They were so sweet to make a fuss of our honeymoon and leave balloons and banners in our room! The food they cooked was also lovely, and they helped with Tuk Tuk services and laundry too. Honestly - for service alone, this hotel was superb.

The views were sensational, the rooms were extremely clean, our host Sampath was communicative and helpful - nothing was a problem. The mosquito nets on the bed were an added bonus! If I visited Ella again I wouldn’t stay anywhere else! He drove us to our next location and stopped for us at a delicious restaurant which served tasty local food. Top tier stuff.

We had a fantastic time in Ella, and this accommodation didn't disappoint. The room was beautiful, and the terrace views were impressive. Sampath and his family took good care of us! Breakfast was more than enough and different every day. We had dinner every single night on the terrace, and the food was delicious! If you’re looking for an amazing accommodation in Ella, don’t hesitate! Tuk-tuk services, transfers, and day trips are also available! Thank you once again Sampath for having us!

The view from the accommodation is beautiful. Sampath the host is very accommodating and helped us organise transport when needed. The accommodation is away from the main road, but a short tuk tuk or great walk to take the scenery in. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend Royal Mount Ella.

The Royal Mount is a family run business and their entire aim is to provide you with the best stay you can possibly have. Nothing is too much trouble and it was a del ight staying at their property. Should you go half board, and trust me you should, the whole family get involved in preparing and serving meal. The clever layout of the building is both unique and practical. Ella is a very busy town so it pays to stay just slightly on the outskirts. The Royal Mount is only 6/7 minutes from the centre of town by Tuk Tuk or car. If you don’t have one they can organise things for you in minutes. Lastly, the views from its elevated position are truly superb and a real pleasure to wake up to each day. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
