Incredible views looking out on to Ella and the staff are very friendly and go above and beyond. Imantha was a fantastic host showing us as many sights as we could fit into our time in Ella and answered any questions we had. We would love to return to Guest Inn Avendra! The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable!

Imantha and his family are fantastic hosts - so friendly and accommodating, and they will go above and beyond for you. Imantha even drove us to the nearest ATM in his tuk tuk, as we foolishly didn't bring enough cash with us. The homestay offers excellent value for money accompanied by stunning views over Ella. It is a wonderful way to immerse yourself in the local culture and enjoy the quieter side of Ella. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast prepared by Imantha's mother, while soaking up the beautiful scenery. Overall, a wonderful property that is made extra special by the kindness of the hosts :)

The host is really amazing, super friendly and and speaks super good English and does everything he can for you. He gave us amazing tips for Ella and the hiks there :-) The beds are super comfy and the breakfeast is one of the best we had with a lots of things to try e.g. a fruit platter with a lot of different fruits. We would defenetly come here again! :-)

Inthama is the greatest host you can ask for. He made our stay at Guest Inn Avendra unforgettable. His way of communication upfront is the most reliable we have ever experienced. The location is superb even though it is a little challenging to reach (but that is part of the adventure, right). The rooms are super clean and the beds are comfy. You get served a very delicious dinner and also breakfast where all wishes are fulfilled. Overall a 11/10 and we cannot recommend this place enough.

an exceptional stay in an exceptional place! Upon arrival, Imantha (the young son of the house) welcomes you with open arms and you feel at home. He is jovial, generous and extremely kind. it's a place where the family takes care of you. the room is spacious and the bed very comfortable. There is everything you need for a stay. If you are missing something, Imantha or her family will bring it back for you with no problem! Location: in the heart of the mountains, the room has a balcony with a superb view. It is located about 10 minutes from the center but no problem getting around! Imantha and her father have tuktuks and will arrange rides for you. we had a full tour program with them and it was great. Food: Imantha's mom cooks wonderfully! she cooks local dishes and the portions are very generous. The breakfast is amazing!! To sum up, Guest Inn Avendra is the perfect place if you want to create lasting memories with a local family. Nothing to do with a hotel, it's a place where conviviality, good humor and sharing reign. We are so glad we stayed there, and we will come back again. Don't miss the chance to make friends with Imantha, he's awesome. We recommend 100%!!!

12/10! We highly recommend this place! Imantha and his family are exceptional hosts—so knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. Our stay here was nothing short of magical. We feel so fortunate to have discovered this gem and to have met such wonderful people. The room is extremely comfortable, and the breakfast is both generous and absolutely delicious.

We had a wonderful stay in Guest Inn Avendra and wouldn't think twice about returning. The cabin provided the perfect vibes for cozying up during evenings in Ella and the views definitely didn't disappoint. You can watch the sunrise from the room and we even had some rainbows!! The place is run by the sweetest family and the delicious food is prepared by the mother. The breakfasts were an assortment of local fruits and different local dishes to try each day along with eggs toasts etc. Everything we had was delicious. Something that sets Guest Inn Avendra apart is how Imantha ( the son running the place) goes above and beyond to make your experience in Ella the best he can. From taking you around in his tuk tuk, to recommendations for anything in Ella he is your man. He is always happy to be contacted and will answer any questions you have. When dropping us off at the end of our stay he even went to confirm everything and print our tickets from the counter. He provides personalized services that other places would charge for and we couldn't have asked for a better host.
