Unbelievable views of Ella gap. Staff are all very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was delicious.

This hotel must have one of the best views in Ella. We arrived at night but the view the next morning was breathtaking. The deluxe double room was really big with a nice big, very comfortable bed. We slept so well in this room. The air conditioning worked really well too. The balcony is huge and we had excellent views. The breakfast was amazing, lots of choice. It consisted of fruit, tea, coffee, waffle (delicious), omelette, toast and one day we had an egg hopper. We sat right on the front of the hotel so had undisturbed views whilst eating breakfast. There’s 3 really friendly dogs too who came to sit with us whilst relaxing and they are very well behaved. Best of all the staff were excellent. So chatty, friendly and helpful. They all made our stay perfect and recommended lots of options for things to do, as well as sorting tuk tuks and a taxi to Udawalawe. The location is really good. It’s probably a bit of a walk at night down a dirt/concrete track but you can easily get tuk tuks up and down here for cheap. It’s a quick 5 mins in a tuk tuk to the Main Street where there’s loads of bars and restaurants.

The views from the property are really nice and the staff are welcoming and friendly. The place is away from the busy Ella streets but only 10 minutes walk to reach all amenities.

It is in the most PERFECT location, I am still not over the view from my room and the restaurant. Really close to the town and easy to get around. The staff were truly exceptional and couldn’t do more for us! Breakfast was fab! The new rooms are beautiful! They’ve thought of everything. I absolutely loved staying here and I’m fussy! Will be recommending it to everyone!

The view was the definition of breathtaking. Worth every penny just to look out on that. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They arranged laundry for us, helped us with our bags, and provided us with food recommendations for Ella town. Always had a smile on their face and always said hello! Wonderful team!

An incredible view of the Ella Rock and the Valley! A really good breakfast and kind staff, special thanks to the breakfast crew. Close to the Ella centrum yet very peaceful location. We also got a nice recommendation of an (actually) secret nature pool and waterfall, so ask for that!

We had a lovely time at Green Hill. The view of Ella Gap from many of the bedrooms and the restaurant are incredible. Staff were extremely attentive, friendly and accommodating. They helped us visit many of the sights, including a less well known waterfall to swim in.

We travelled with small children. The staff was amazing and very accomodating and kind. The kids loved the animals (dogs, birds, fishes). Breakfast was superb and views unbetable. Short and nice walk in to the city. Room was large and nice.

The location of the accommodation is unbeatable. As it’s not in the City Center it id s more quiet place and The view is incredible. The staff is amazing and extremely helpful. They help you organizing everything. As we had only one full day in Ella, we wanted to make the best out of it and booked a tour guide. We can highly recommend ‚Sunny’ the tour guide of the hotel who took us out for many sightseeing spots , gave us other recommendations what to visit and organised a driver to go further south at the coast. The price for it was totally reasonable, even cheap. The rooms are very clean , the breakfast is rich and very tasty.
