We had a wonderful stay at Ella Soul Resort! The room was spacious, cozy, and had an incredible view of the surrounding hills—waking up to that scenery was just magical. The bed was very comfortable, and everything in the room felt thoughtfully arranged.

Lovely staff. Very helpful when we were arranging a tour of the area. Excellent breakfast. We asked for an early breakfast on our second morning which they did for us. Our room was very spacious. It was quite chilly at night so a another cover would ve have been helpful. We loved the area and our driver Sudesh was amazing. We took us on an amazing tour. Wonderful waterfalls, an amazing tea plantation tour, fabulous view points, nine bridge arches, a secret bathing water fall

We had a really nice stay! Our room and the bathroom were super clean, we loved our balcony and the eating area had such an amazing view. The breakfast was amazing and we could choose from a lot of different meals. The staff was super nice and very helpful.

Room wasn’t cleaned the entire 4 days we were staying. Rooms were very basic, noisy and not totally cleaned.

Ella Soul Resort was an absolute gem during my stay in Ella. The staff were amazing—welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help. The attached restaurant was a real standout, not just for the food but for the stunning views—easily some of the best in town. The location was great, tucked away just enough to feel peaceful but still close to everything. I’d seen a few reviews complaining about the walk, but honestly, it’s just a slow, winding hill—not intense at all. A few extra signs wouldn’t hurt, but it’s definitely manageable and worth it once you arrive. Overall, a fantastic stay with great food, beautiful scenery, and top-notch service.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room had everything you need and very clean with daily housekeeping The restaurant for breakfast was very good and the view from the restaurant was awesome. They organized a tuc tuc tour around the sites with a great driver at a fair price. We didn't find better quality hotel for the price in all of Sri Lanka. By the way they do take credit cards despite some of the comments I've seen here.

It was so clean, the staff were so helpful and friendly! We had breakfast upstairs which was so tasty. The welcome drink was a lovely treat. The location is perfect if you want to be right in the centre but it’s not on the main road so you’re still away from the noise and the business. If it rains during your stay, we did an excellent cooking class called Nadhiya Cooking Class, she is new but it was hands down the best curry we’ve had in Sri Lanka!

Fantastic location just a short walk from the bars, restaurants and nightlife. There is a laundry service next door and the breakfast selection is great. The view from the breakfast room is amazing. We would stay here again
