Imke “Authentic Sri Lankan Homestay with warm hospitality and stunning views”

We rented three rooms for five adults over four nights and had a truly memorable stay. Ella Peace Heaven feels more like a homestay than a hotel- the family lives on the ground floor, while most guest rooms are upstairs so you still have your own space. Every morning, we enjoyed freshly prepared Sri Lankan breakfasts, and you can also request dinners made with fresh ingredients from their garden at incredibly reasonable prices. The rooms are simple but comfortable, with spacious bathrooms and small balconies offering beautiful views. Some rooms include bug nets and fans, depending on your booking. The property also features a welcoming terrace with hammocks, where you can relax while spotting a variety of birds, including many peacocks- it’s like a little peacock paradise! The location is about a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride from Ella (around 1000 rupees). We appreciated staying outside the busy town, surrounded by views of the temple and tea plantations, which offered a peaceful, serene atmosphere. Samith and his family were exceptionally warm and welcoming, sharing insider tips and making us feel like part of their home. They are such a lovely family, ready to help or answer any questions we had or just indulge in our general Sri Lankan curiosity. I highly recommend Ella Peace Heaven for an authentic Sri Lankan homestay experience!

Staff were amazing, beautiful views and great food. The hosts cooked my dinner, a traditional Sri Lankan meal, the night I arrived. Breakfast was great, filling me up for the rest of the day.

The owner was lovely, the surroundings were beautiful, it was comfortable, and sitting on the balcony in the morning was fab. Oh, and a great breakfast too.

It is an amazing place with stunning views- very peaceful and quiet, the balcony is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious with hot water. Hosts were really lovely and extremely accommodating, happy to help with anything we needed.Especially with the breakfast, which was served on the beautiful balcony whenever we asked. Really good value for money, We can't recommend this place enough and would have loved to stay longer.😀

We had a great stay at Ella peace heaven. It has a very beautiful view, a little isolated so very peaceful. Cute hammocks to rest and enjoy the view. A lot of birds, squirrels and peacocks around. Family is very friendly and always available for us. Before arrival they send us WhatsApp document with things to see around that was very useful. They offer local meals that you can order for lunch and dinner that are very good and for a great price. We ate there all the time during our stay

The view are amazing. The owner makes your trip very easy; anything you need, he can arrange it for you. They are very nice people. If you don’t want to be in the middle of the noise of the town, it’s a perfect place.

If you are an open-hearted person who loves nature and always smiles, then I must say this accommodation is a golden choice for you! Samit and his beautiful family are with you with everything you need, the best thing is that after chatting with us, he plans everything to mix all our expectations and he even drew us a map, he has a good knowledge of all the places. Staying in the city center is not worth it, this accommodation is so beautiful that it only takes a few minutes to walk through nature and as a reward you will get an amazing view from there - you will love the mountains and the delicious breakfast, trust me! The room is spacious and clean with the most comfortable bed and everything one could ask for in accommodation. We couldn't have chosen better, would definitely come back if possible, thanks for everything!

This hotel is very cosy, room was clean, there was a bed downstairs and 3 upstairs. Views were really nice and we loved hammocks outside ;). Family running it is very nice. Would recommend xxx

True heaven and peaceful place..🫶 This place is a hidden gem in the falls. Such a calm and wonderful place. A paddy field and beautiful mountains can be seen very spectacularly. If you are someone who likes to be free, I would say this is the best place in the falls. The owner and his family were very hospitable and helpful. The breakfast is also excellent, delicious and lots of fruits from their garden. You can reach Ella town in 5-10 minutes. Best place I stayed during my trip to Sri Lanka. Definitely want to come back.🫶♥️
