Perfect! Location is perfect, room is so lovely and very clean, comfy bed & hot shower! Big breakfast & very tasty! Staff are so helpful and friendly. Laundry service too, which was quick and very good! Best hotel we have stayed at in Sri Lanka. Thankyou!!

Clean and comfortable budget accommodation a few minutes away from the main drag but very quiet. Obey and his wife are wonderful hosts. Very generous breakfast.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Moon Rock, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. But what truly impressed me was the host's thoughtfulness and attention to detail. We had an early start the next day for a long journey to Colombo, and the host kindly prepared breakfast for us ahead of schedule. But that wasn't all - they also packed a snack and water for us to take on the road! This kind gesture was completely unexpected and truly appreciated. It's clear that the host genuinely cares about their guests' comfort and well-being. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities. But it's the host's exceptional hospitality and thoughtful touches that truly set Hotel Moon Rock apart. If you're looking for a warm and welcoming place to stay, I highly recommend Hotel Moon Rock!

Family of 5, 2 adults 2 kids booked 2 rooms. A wonderful welcome from Obey and his team, we arrived early, and were able to leave our bags whilst we set out to explore. The team were great with children, even playing a mini round of cricket in the yard whilst we checked in and sorted our self out for the evening. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was extensive. Omelette, sausages, pancakes, hoppers, fruits and fresh juice. The location is perfect for exploring the iconic Little Adams Peak and Nine Arches Bridge both a short scenic walk away. Being on a tour with a long drive ahead to our next stop the kind owner Obey prepared snacks and refreshments for journey. We would definitely recommend staying here especially if exploring the local sites. Also on site, Obey has a superb laundry facility. The best in Ella, if you need to freshen up your clothes before the next leg of your trip.

Everything 👌🏼. Such a fab stay, wished it could have been longer . The owner was so lovely and helpful. My husband came down with a tummy complaint on our last day the owner gave him a bottle of his own herbal remedy and insisted we keep the bottle for future use. He also gave us some bottled water and snacks for our onward journey. So thoughtful.

The room was large and clean with a large bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even gave me some food for my onward journey, very thoughtful. It is situated close to the main strip in Ella. It is opposite a cultural centre so sometimes during the day there was loud drumming which some may like.

Room was spacious and very comfortable. Aircon was effective and shower was nice and warm with good pressure. Useful facilities like fridge and coffee maker are available in the rooms. Location was perfect, just off the main road in Ella but set back enough to be quiet for sleeping at night. Heavy rain could be a little noisy on the roof but nothing ear plugs couldn’t sort Breakfast was delicious and very generous! We couldn’t finish all of the food

This was a wonderful find and we loved our stay. Obey, the owner, was lovely, kind and considerate. Always there to help either at the hotel or on message. The room was perfect for what we needed - and extremely clean, comfortable bedroom and bathroom, good air-conditioning and WiFi. We were mainly out hiking in the day. Location is perfect. It's very easy to find, just off main road which was great as the main road is busy and noisy! So we slept well!!! It's very very close to the main "strip" of restaurants and bars (which there are plenty!!!), and very easy to flag down tuk tuks. Close to supermarket too. The breakfast.... the best sri lankan breakfast we have had this 16 day trip. Cooked by his wife we were assured. The chicken was just delicious with deep flavour and tender! Honestly couldn't praise it more, and very generous - we felt absolutely spoilt. Also set us up for our walking! Excellent value for money. Thank you, Obey!!!
