Blooming Rose is situated on the side of a steep hill a small distance from Ella. Reached via very steep steps the property has spectacular views and is spotlessly clean. The host is wonderful, he and his wife couldn’t be more helpful and served a fantastic Sri Lankan breakfast on both days of our stay. Ella is a short walk from Blooming Rise via more steep steps and a walk along the railway, or a 700 rupee tuk tuk ride. We experienced a massive monsoon shower throughout our stay but stayed dry throughout.

A fantastic welcoming stay outside of Ella town, so quiet and peaceful, with lots of wildlife. The hosts made sure we were comfortable throughout and took us by tuk tuk into town whenever we wanted. The owner even arranged for our luggage to be separately transported to Nuwara Eliya so that we could get the train. An amazing stay all round.

Fantastic stay the Bloomimg Rose Ella! - The staff were a credit to the place. They couldn’t have done any more to make us feel welcome. Any issues we had they were prompt to fix it. - They had a tuk tuk service from the property to the town, which is a 3 min drive away. Very good value - Organised a taxi for us at a good price to our next location - The breakfast was brilliant, amazing view whilst eating. The fruit was fresh, tea and coffee refreshments. - Bedroom was large, lots of space - net over the bed, fridge and storage for luggage. We will 100% recommend and would return if we came back to Sri Lanka.

Views from the property were exceptional. Looking directly across Kital Ella waterfall, Ella Rock Md Ella gap. Staff were fantastic and went out of their way to help.

We stayed one night at blooming rose Ella. There are three rooms, with each a balcony on the Ella valley. The view was amazing!! The rooms were clean and sufficiently big for our purpose, with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was fresh and of great quality, with once again a great view on the valley. Last but not least, the hosts were extremely kind !! Helping us with our bags, bringing us to our next point in tuk tuk… outstanding service ☺️

We were welcomed with tea/coffee to drink on the terrace. The breakfasts were fantastic and different both days of our stay - so nice to sit and enjoy with the great view. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They gave us a lift into town on their tuk tuk on our first afternoon, and dropped us at the station when we left. The location is a little further out of town but I think worth it for the quiet and views. It’s not far to walk if you take the shortcut along the railway which the owners directed us to.
