Very helpful and wonderful guide. The room was very nice, clean, and hygienic. The location was also excellent. We are very happy with our stay. He helped us a lot in finding the viewpoints without charging any money, and his videos were also very helpful.

Authentic home stay. Clean room and bathroom. Garden / forest view from the (shared) balcony. Kamal the host is very kind and will tend to your needs, providing itineraries, routes, scooter and/or tuktuk. All you have to do is ask and enjoy your stay. The place is near shops and a restaurant but 40mn walk to Ella city center.

Great budget stay with a wonderful host If you’re looking for a low-budget, authentic Sri Lankan homestay, this is a great option! The host is incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to assist with anything you need. You truly feel welcome here. As mentioned in the listing, this is not a luxury hotel, so come with the right expectations. Due to the high humidity in Sri Lanka, the rooms and bathroom can feel a bit damp at times, but this is common in the area. The place is clean and well-maintained, and the hospitality more than makes up for any small inconveniences.

What I liked the most was my relation with Kamel, a person who is always giving a lot of advice on activities to do in Ella and during your stay he calls you to see how you are. He is always worried .However, his facilities need some major renovations although the place is clean. His mother prepares meals and can always cook you whatever you want without being on the menu. In terms of price, it is one of the cheapest in Ella.
