The Royal Hotel is going through planned upgrades to its rooms; some rooms are quite outdated in their decor but I've stayed in 3 so far and all were clean, with lovely quality linens and reasonable beds comfort-wise. The public areas seem newly refurbished and are lovely. The food is good but the standout for me is the service: Alex and Nicola simply could not be more thoughtful and caring: they care about the service they are providing and about their guests. They go above and beyond and this quality service is worth more to me than what wallpaper is in the rooms!! Great job Alex and Nicola and thank you.

Had a key fob to go in and out. Breakfast was included and was very nice. Clean room.

i mad an error with the dates when booking through booking.com - called the hotel and they corrected my error without hesitation. Amazing service from the hotel direct
