We loved our time at The Funny Lion - the facilities are excellent, staff greet you by name and are great at helping with anything you need to help the stay be incredibly smooth. The location is superb, right next to the Town Square in El Nido. It’s very easy to hire scooters or jump into a trike from here and get to all the main tour areas. The treat every night with the turndown service was also a lovely addition. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again at The Funny Lion.

The Funny Lion was in a good spot to get to the town and restaurants. The staff were friendly and Papaya beach was lovely.

Hotel was nice and staff were good. We had a room overlooking the road therefore a bit noisy but not a big issue. The room had everything we needed and the bathroom had a good hot shower.

We recently stayed at The Funny Lion in El Nido, and it was an experience to remember! From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality and impeccable service made us feel right at home. The rooms were beautifully designed, combining modern comfort with island charm. Spotless cleanliness, plush bedding, and thoughtful amenities made for a relaxing and cozy retreat after a day of exploring El Nido’s breathtaking sites. The highlight of our stay was the pool and bar right next to each other. Sipping on a refreshing cocktail while enjoying the pool is very relaxing. The reviews are not exaggerating the exceptional service level of the staff — their attention to detail and quality of care throughout my stay were outstanding. You're consistently greeted by name and with a smile. I had a 4am checkout, and by the time I reached the reception, the resort manager, guest services, two staff members, and security were waiting for me and had already waved down a tricycle. They all saw me off personally. No other hotels or resorts could match the level of service this team provided me all week. Tito Nilo, Val, and the whole team should be very proud.

Spotless rooms, lovely hotel and excellent location but the staff really made the difference. Big shout out to Val on reception but also to all the reception staff and other teams. They are on hand 24/7 to help. Super friendly and efficient!! Really made our stay

Perfect location I would say, not too close from the center so not too busy and noisy. The hotel service was the best. Staff are very accomodating and even memorize the names of the guests. They also made it convenient to book tours and to travel from and to the airport. The hotel has a beautiful private beach which is very convenient. Since it is private, the beach is not too busy and not spoiled.

Great and lovely stuff, beautifull property in a good location, with high attention to details. great breakfast (specifically the omeletedls and the hot chocolate).Their private beach is a really nice addition and a great place to spend the day.
