New, modern furniture and bathroom. Very nice helpful staff! Great location to do hikes, close to all the restaurants and shops.

Desierto provided what we needed for a stay in El Chalten, but the property needs a bit more love and some maintenance. The aesthetic and colours are cute if you’re into that, bed was big/ comfy and shower was nice and warm. It’s also really close to cafes, restaurants and trailheads.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The bed was super comfortable and the hotel is conveniently located: 2min walk from many restaurants and bars, 15min walk from the bus station and 25min walk from the start of the hikes.

We loved the fact that the apartment had two levels. This way we had the whole upstairs to use as bedroom ( with three beds) and downstairs for kitchen and bathroom. The apartment was simply suppliedbut had most of what we needed. The swiss army knife came in handy one of the days to open the cans but other than that it has everything we needed. The place was very central and staff was friendly and helpful.

This apartment was a good base for hiking in El Chalten. The guy at reception had a fun personality and helped us with one issue and booked an early morning taxi for us!
