Lovely stay for three nights at Posada Karut Josh. Rooms are very clean, comfortable bed, good bathroom. Breakfast was very good as well. Most of all, the host was the best. Very kind and genuinely interested in us. He has very good tips across El Calefate and El Chalten

We loved our stay at Posada Karut Josh, we were warmly welcomed, the property was very clean and comfortable, and the staff members were very friendly & communicative. The breakfast was one of the very best we have had in our 3 months travelling in South America. Fresh fruit & veg with homemade jam, yogurt, cakes and bread!! Really delicious. See picture.

By far our favourite stay during our 2+ weeks in Patagonia. Quiet but well within walking distance to food, shops, things to do etc, great breakfast and lovely rooms. Ian and Tatiana were the most amazing hosts, super lovely to talk to, have great recommendations and went above and beyond to help with any tours AND to let us try mate. You're missing out if this isn't where you stay in El Calafate!

Ian was the most helpful person one could ask for in a hotel!! Nothing was an issue for him, and he helped us with doing a clothes wash, ordering a taxi, late check in etc. Would 100% recommend. Rooms were big, with a lovely view over the lake. Great breakfast and a good location.

Lovely welcome in a well appointed house. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the breakfast was good. We especially liked the brown seeded bread. Ian could not have been more helpful and friendly, offering suggestions on what Calafate had to offer that filled our one night before moving on. Thanks Ian!

Ian and Titiana who are the owners are the best! Nothing was too much trouble. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and be as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was really good from the homemade yoghurt and fresh fruit to the scrambled eggs & toast. There were also baked goods, ham, cheese and tomatoes. Ian saved us money and helped us to avoid problems and pitfalls will his wealth of knowledge and advice. I would recommend this lovely place to anyone.
