Started off poorly, in that the published Postcode entered in SatNav delivered us to a field about a mile away from the property, and we had to resort to requesting directions from locals, some of whom were unable to assist. Then, on returning to the Hotel after an evening Concert at Royal Holloway, my wife tripped in the Car Park where there were no lights, and no hazard warning along a ledge between the gravel and the paving - and fell full-length injuring her hip and shoulder. Then to top it all, there seemed no way to control the heating or the in our room, or the dangerously high temperature of the water in the bathroom.

Very friendly helpful staff. Food was excellent. We dined at the Tudor Pass. Fabulous food. Lovely to meet the chefs. I'm sure we will return. Enjoyed walking round the gardens. Will be even better later in the year. Comfortable bed. Shame it's so close to M25 but our room faced the other way so not a problem.
