Hotel Overview

Located near Windsor, Great Fosters - Near Windsor is a fine example of Elizabethan architecture set within 50 acres. Whether attending a conference or planning a romantic escape, Great Fosters - Near Windsor is the ideal setting for any occasion.
This historic, imposing house became a hotel in 1931. Great Fosters - Near Windsor possesses a plethora of original details and features contained within its sumptuous lounge through to its luxurious bedrooms.
There are 2 onsite restaurants, the Estate Grill and the Tudor Pass. The first offers a simple, more ingredient-led style of cookery, while the second one is a more sophisticated dining experience with a series of tasting menus designed by Head Chef Alex Payne.

These bedrooms are also known as the Duke of Wellington Suites and feature 6-foot king-size beds (which can be twinned if preferred), a work desk and complimentary WiFi. They have in-room safes, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a Roberts Blu Tune 50 DAB radio and sound system. Two rooms have bathrooms with a bath with shower over the top and are furnished with black granite and illuminated shaving mirrors, whilst another room has a bathroom with bath and shower over the top. The Corridor Room has a free-standing bath with separate large shower. Some rooms enjoy a view over the gardens whilst others overlook the main drive.

The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The grounds and gardens were stunning. The food was excellent with plenty of choice. We enjoyed the cocktails and sat on the lawn overlooking the beautiful wisteria covered bridge. The room exceeded our expectations - lovely furnishings and a very comfortable bed.

This is a lovely hotel, with a superb Michelin starred restaurant, wonderful and helpful staff, a very good outdoor heated swimming pool and a spa with high quality treatments. Breakfast was excellent. The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. It's a great place to stay for a couple of nights.
