The hotel was remote but very nice, with cows walking on the backyard and deers. Really nice view in the mornings with mist around the trees. The whole area felt like it was connected with the hotel, good food in the restaurant.

Arriving mid-morning to drop my case off, I was warmly welcomed and pleasantly surprised to already be able to check in and access my room. After my hike, I returned to the hotel, which is in a quiet location with mini golf and deer park. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a settee and desk, and complimentary bottle of water. Dinner was superb and beautifully presented. I'm not a very good sleeper, but had the best night in a long time. Breakfast was also beautifully presented, varied and with local produce. On asking if the cheesemonger/minimarket was open on Sunday mornings, I'd been told it was not, but was immediately offered the possibility of a packed lunch for my hike the following day! From start to finish, the staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. An outstanding establishment in the Emmental :)

Early check-in. Complimentary bottles of water. Spacious room and view from our room with green fields and cows. Quietness of the surroundings. Very nice dinner, aged beef very delicious. Many hiking trails with nice views.
