The staff were exceptional and very friendly. The property is very clean. The rooms are small though. I think there needs to be signage in the lifts and also when you get out of lifts.

The property is basically brand new and you can really tell. According to our taxi driver, the building used to be a government tax office which has been converted into a modern hotel. We got there at 12.30pm to drop our bags off before exploring the city (local bars) to be told our rooms were ready. Our room layout was different to the standard hotel room setup which made a nice change and although a little small, was perfect for our needs. Beds were very comfortable and the staff were fantastic. Reception staff were genuinely friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Edinburgh.

The staff could not have been more helpful and courteous. They went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Maungo and the reception manager, whose name escapes me, were especially kind and thoughtful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and it was great having our own little kitchen. And the location is excellent.
