Apartment Overview

Southside Apartments offer self-catering apartments ideal for exploring the Old Town of Edinburgh. The apartments are just 25 minutes’ walk from Edinburgh city centre, 18 minutes’ walk to the Royal Mile and are on a good bus route.
All apartments have fully-equipped kitchens, lounge and dining areas and a bathroom. Some apartments have original period features such as high ceilings and sash windows.
All Southside Apartments feature free WiFi and plasma TVs with Freeview The kitchens have an oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Towels and linen are included and hair and body shampoo is provided. A starter pack is also provided for your arrival to get you started which includes soap, washing up liquid, washing powder, rubbish bags, toilet rolls and sachets of tea, coffee and sugar.
Holyrood Park is just 10 minutes’ walk from Southside Apartments and Edinburgh Castle can be reached in 15 to 20 minutes walk.
There is no onsite parking at our Southside apartments

The one bedroom apartment is a basement apartment located at 11 Newington Road and has a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge area, shower room and French doors leading from the lounge to an outdoor area. The bedroom has a king bed. If you prefer 2 single beds please request upon booking You do require to go down a staircase on entry to your apartment

The 2 bedroom apartments are located at both 7 & 11 Newington Road, there are 2 apartments in each block accessed by separate main doors on the main street, the apartments are located on the 1st and 2nd floors, no lift. The apartments have a lounge and dining area, kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are set up as 1 king room and 1 twin room. However, the beds are zip and link and can be made as single or king beds. Please request your bed preference at time of booking. Apartment sizes and specifications differ

The 3-bedroom apartment is located at 7 Newington Road on the 1st floor with 2 king bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom. The apartment has a large lounge, dining area, kitchen and a bathroom. There is also a shower room with a shower and sink.

20 minutes walk to The Royal Mile. Restaurant next door fabulous breakfast Warm and cozy apartment with everything we needed for a short stay Beds comfortable Quiet street with nice walks to bars and restaurants if you do not wish to go to The Royal Mile

Good location with lots of choice for eating out plus public transport. Plenty of space for a party of 5 adults. Had everything we needed available.

Lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable. The instructions to access the apartment were clear and sent in advance so we were able to get in quickly and easily. There is a bus stop outside the apartment so getting around was easy. Basic hospitality such as tea, coffee, milk and soaps were provided and many grocery and dining options are nearby. Lots of information about activities were provided with the booking which was helpful.

This apartment succeeded my expectations, it was in a very safe area and felt secluded and away from the noise. The bed was huge and everything we could've needed for our stay was provided, would greatly recommend.

We was so happy with the cleanliness and comfort of the apartment, arriving we was delayed and was able to push back our arrival time with no issues, getting into the apartment I was given a code to get into the building the morning of my arrival and the keys were left on the dining table inside the apartment as advised. I could not fault it, made my trip so much more stress free not having to worry about checking in as so smooth and simply! Brilliant! :) We was provided with all cooking essentials and even some coffee and sugar. We was only a 20 minute walk from the city centre which was absolutely fantastic for us and even a bus stop right in front or at the side of the building if we wanted to get the bus! We will defiantly be looking at staying again on our next trip to Edinburgh.
