Just over a mile from the centre of beautiful Edinburgh, The Rosehall is a small private hotel on the A7, close to Holyrood Park and the stunning Arthur’s Seat. The Royal Mile is about 25-minutes’ walk away, and the hotel is 1 mile from Princes Street and on the main bus route to Edinburgh city centre. There is free WiFi access throughout the property.
The Rosehall has traditionally furnished rooms with an en suite or private external bathroom. Each also benefits from a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities.
Edinburgh’s Waverly Rail Station and the popular shops of Prince’s Street can be reached in about 30 minutes on foot. Edinburgh Castle is also within walking distance. Please note that the hotel does not have a lift.

Friendly hosts. Room was clean and nicely presented. Close to Royal Commonwealth Pool. Great transport links to Royal Mile or about 30 min walk into city centre

The room was surprisingly spacious for having a big bed and a small bed (needed a room for a couple and a single). What I liked was the cleanliness and attention to detail - everything about the room was perfect.

Rooms were clean with good facilities. Lovely and warm room, (went during winter for NYEve) plenty of space for 4 days worth of clothes. Lots of tea, coffee, milk.

The location of the hotel is brilliant with it being on the outskirts of the city centre, with regular buses going to and from outside the hotel. Very traditional small hotel with dated interior but the bed was so comfy with plenty of layered bedding. Although we didnt take the offer of paying for breakfast the host did offer juice and snack bars on our way out

The location was convenient with lots of regular buses into the centre. The woman on reception and who served breakfast was very nice. There was a key to the private bathroom. Breakfast was good with a wide range of hot/cold items. The room and hotel were clean. The bathroom had a bath.

Excellent stay at a spotlessly clean hotel with high end facilities. Breakfast (£10 extra but well worth it) was plentiful and well presented, full english with continental extras available too. Very comfortable room and bed with added bonus of balcony with a view of Atrhur's Seat. Management and staff were friendly and helpful. One mile from Waverley Station with excellent access to public transport with regular buses (14, 30 and 33) picking up and dropping off outside of hotel. Close to a row of shops, pubs serving food and a public swimming pool. Adjacent to Holyroyd Park with a nice "moderate" climb up to Arthur's Seat. Will def stay again and can highly recommend.

Breakfast was awful. Cereal old and soft, boring standard sliced bread for toast. Certainly not worth the extra charge. I complained.

The room was spacious, easy to find a car park, beds were comfortable and the building decoration is quite nice. For as far as Edinburgh goes, the price wasn't too bad.

Check in was very easy , staff polite and efficient. Breakfast was great, many choices, good value. Easy transport into city centre with buses
