Student accommodation Overview

Located at the foot of the royal Holyrood Park and Arthur's Seat, the Pollock Estate campus offers bed and breakfast accommodation during the University of Edinburgh's summer vacation.
Each room on the campus features a free Wi-Fi, and shared laundry and pantry facilities. Some rooms also offer a TV and a safety deposit box. Linen and towels are provided in all the rooms.
Pollock Estate is just 1.5 miles from Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station and the historic Old Town, where guests can find the Royal Mile, the hub for many of Edinburgh’s festivals.
In the mornings, an extensive breakfast is offered in the self-service restaurant at John McIntyre Conference Centre. This is just 5 minutes’ walk from the rooms.
Further local amenities include a general shop and a dedicated 24-hour reception centre.
Please be aware up until the 15th August, due to work to the roof of the building, there may be scaffolding on the external walls of the single standard shared bathroom accommodation. Contractors will be onsite between the hours of 9am – 6pm which may result in noise at times. We apologise for any disturbance this may cause. The twin room was really comfortable for my sister and me (in our late 50s). Our window looked across the campus to Arthur’s Seat and we loved being able to leave our car and walk/bus into the city centre. There was a high standard of cleanliness too. Breakfast was amazing - so much choice and high quality. We also had a delicious and affordable evening meal on campus too. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It really was very special.

This is a great accommodation. Sober rooms, with everything you might need AND breakfast is included! Three busses to the city center stop close by and cost only £1,80.

Friendly staff, small kitchen with jug and toaster, able to check my bags on last day so I could spend day out. 20 min walk to High Street. Good bed and pillows.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was very good with great choices and excellent layout so that there was no waiting time.

Good price-perfomance ratio with regards to location. The city center is within easy reach. Large Breakfast Buffet is included. Very nice multi-national ambiente due to students from everywhere in the world. Very nice surroundings of colourful flower beds. Nice dinner at the Arthur's pub on the campus.
