Value for money is incredibly high — they went above and beyond in making it feel homey and a space to meet people & make friends. My favourite in the facility are the lounges that are inviting and cosy. Team working there are also some of the friendliest and warmest I’ve ever met traveling.

Lovely hostel. Remember, it's a hostel so your experience is only as good as the guests sharing the room with you. Luckily for me, mine were very respectful and while I was first to go to bed, the others in the room were very quiet. Extremely friendly and helpful staff on reception, cosy communal rooms, complimentary tea and milk, incredible location.

1.The location is absolutely perfect. I'd even say more than perfect !!! It's right across the road from the base of the hill where Edinburgh Castle stands, so it only takes about five minutes to reach the castle. Other major attractions, like the National Gallery, Victoria Street, and the Christmas market, are all within walking distance as well. 2. The hostel incorporates many artistic elements throughout the building. You'll find beautiful pictures hung on the walls and artistic designs painted all over. Visually, it’s stunning and adds an unexpected touch to your travel experience.

i really liked the common rooms, they were spacious and cozy. there were lots of activities inside the hostel, like board games, books you can borrow, a cinema room, etc. it's fun if you're too tired to go out at night and you just wanna hang out inside. Also, the hostel organises a lot of events. the most fun was the ceilidh dance on Wednesday night at Stramash! The staff is really nice and helpful.

Clean and well equipped kitchen, great opportunities to be social, but equally possible to work in designated quiet area. Location is phenomenal - step out the door to Edinburgh Castle towering over you, while also being 10mins from the train station.

Amazing location, great vibe - really friendly staff and general atmosphere. Really appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee and hot choc station! For the price, absolutely no complaints. Ill be back.

The four room women’s room was great. I also loved all the different community rooms and the staff was super kind and friendly. The location was very central.

The location is great, right across from the castle. The staff is very helpful. They kept my luggage free of charge and helped with everything. If I come again, I will stay here.
