The room was spacious with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The location was a 5-10 minute walk from the Theatre and St James Quarter, which was really good for us. There are a couple of restaurants and bars across the road, which was very handy. Tea/coffee/milk/sugar and biscuits were replenished daily, and can I just say...the salted car amel shortbread was an absolute treat! Thank you!

Place is nice and clean, staff is super friendly! The room and bed are small but cosy. Bathroom was nice and clean and big in comparison. It is a 20 min walk to the old town, very nice location!

The staff were attentive and very lovely. The atmosphere and style of the guest house echos the city itself and you feel a part of the city life. Our room was very comfortable and perfect for our short stay here. Edinburgh gets very cold, but the rooms were nice and warm everytime we return so we could defrost!

The location was really perfect, very easy walking distance to the train station and everywhere we wanted to visit. The street was quiet, with lovely architecture. The staff were wonderful; we were warmly welcomed on arrival, despite a last minute booking, we didn't have any problems during our stay, but if we had needed anything, it was clear staff were on hand and very willing to help. Everything was very clean. The room and guest house were simple, elegant and beautiful, there was tasteful decor, a large old fashioned window and a lovely, traditional brass bedstead. They didn't offer any breakfast, but were helpful in recommending where to get food close by to bring back to the room. There was a full sized kettle for making tea/coffee, which you could fill in the bathroom. It fitted well enough under the sink to make a couple of cups of tea at a time, and if you needed to fill it completely that was easy enough to do with a cup or water bottle. We really enjoyed our stay and would very happily stay again.

I was a solo traveller and the single room in Atlas was perfect. Plenty of space in the room. Bed was very comfy. Staff friendly, would recommend.

The staff. Accidentally, I booked a room with a shared bathroom. This was a problem for me since I have a condition that affects my tummy. Staff upgraded me to ensuite room for free. Kind and considerate. I had a chance to talk with the manager talking about this and that. Interesting and friendly. A very good guest house
