Hostel Overview

A lively/quirky and beautiful accommodation in the centre of the Scottish capital. In addition to the 131 fully equipped rooms in which the a&o Hostel Edinburgh City accommodates guests from all over the world.
The hotel also has its own pub. The Bar50 is not only an ideal starting point for a proper bar crawl, but also a well-established institution in Edinburgh's nightlife and is distinguished by its great atmosphere and extraordinary events.
This makes the hostel particularly suitable for younger guests and city travelers, backpackers and all those visitors who want to explore Edinburgh's nightlife. All our rooms have their own shower and toilet.
You have the choice between cosy single and double rooms, spacious family rooms with double bed and bunk bed(s) and convivial multi-bed rooms for 4 to 6 people.

Please note that pets are only allowed in private rooms like single and twin rooms. Pets are not allowed in shared dorms.
Please note that for beds in a dormitory, towels are not included but can be rented on site for an additional surcharge . Alternatively, guests can bring their own. Bed linen for the bunk beds is free of charge and provided for self-covering.Bed linens and towels are not included in the room rate. Guests can rent them at the property for an additional charge of GBP 4.5 per person or bring their own. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. The staff were super friendly! There was an unexpected twist—I accidentally left my AirPods Pro in the room, and they contacted me right away. Huge thanks to them! The room was really clean, and the value for money was excellent!
