Super friendly staff. We are travelling by bike and could leave our bike boxes for storage at their place for coming back after cycling the pamir. We needed a part for fixing the bike and the hostel owner helped us with his network to search for it and brought us even to the place with his car. Nice breakfast and clean rooms.

Allthought that is a Hostel, was confortable bed, knowing new interesting people. Coffee and tea always at discretion. Breakfast is served directly at table. Wonderful for price value.

The actual city hostel was full so they moved us down the road to a new hostel that's just been built. We weren't sure about this at first but it was pretty comfortable and we had a nice room with a private bathroom, plenty of space and a desk to work at. The staff helped us with ordering some food when we were tired after hiking, which we really appreciated. Decent breakfast, with eggs, bread, fruit and some savoury and sweet snacks. Even though we were moved somewhere else we still met several other travellers and it was quite a social space.

Very nice staff, always helpful and ready to answer all my question. Most of them speak really good English. The rooms were clean, the breakfast ok. It’s good you can always drink water or tea there :)

I had low expectations for this hostel but I was very positively surprised. The staff was very friendly and sincere. The hostel is run by a family which also lives there. My buddy and I reserved a dormitory room and we were the only people inside! The chamber was simple but clean. It was quiet at night and we had a restful sleep. Breakfast was very good, served with heart. The staff arranged a taxi to the bus station for us and were kind enough to inquire about the intercity bus service to Panjakent with Asian Express. I’d definitely recommend staying there.

The room is clean. Location is good. Excellent lighting in the room. Three modes of main lighting + lights by the beds. Sockets by the bed.

The staff is outstanding. They speak good English and go out of their way to help the guests. They answered my many questions with a smile and gave me all the help I needed. They are the heart and soul of this hostel and are what makes it special. The hostel owes them this great review. The guys at the desk as well as the lady taking care of cleaning and breakfast. Breakfast is delicious and served from very early in the morning. 7am on paper but actually earlier if they are ready. If you are in Duchambe, it's a no brainier go to City Hostel!! I should also mention the hostel kitten (for now) who is too cute for words
