Very comfy, very clean, warm, everything I’d need. Really helpful regarding parking and email-responsive. Surprisingly quiet given that the pub below was in full swing.

No breakfast was provided but this was made clear on booking. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough to help. The accommodation benefits from being part of what is one of the best pubs in the north of England so it was difficult tearing us away.

Very friendly staff. The lady offered us a free round in the bar but we ran out of time to take her up on this. Beautifully clean and well presented accommodation. Spacious room for three with lovely bathroom. No shower but full size bathtub which was nice and made a change.

The room was very clean and had all the amenities you would expect in a larger hotel which was much appreciated. The staff gave a personal service and the venue was dog friendly! Plus a short walk to the castle and cathedral was handy, and I could leave my car parked while I explored the city.

Lovely accommodation. Although the room was above a pub, there was no noise. The room was nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities. The staff were lovely and friendly. Couldn't ask for better. Bit of a walk to Durham centre but was pleasant.

We were met by a lovely lady (apologies, don't remember her name), who showed us where to park and showed us to our room. The room was just as described and had everything we could need for our stay. We had our dog with us and he was made to feel very welcome and we were given keys to get back in during the night should we have needed to let him out in the early hours. We stayed there at the end of our Northumberland 250 road trip and is a perfect venue to finish the trip and have a walk round the beautiful city of Durham.

We travelled to Durham to explore as we had never been before and had never stayed in a pub before, we weren't sure what to expect, We had a wonderful time , the staff were lovely our room was perfect for us, the locals we met in the Victoria Inn were friendly and told us of places to visit,
