The host Max (and his dog!) was very friendly and helpful, I had a ground floor room with en suite shower and toilet, with double bed, bedside cabinets, drawers and wardrobe, TV, Kettle, tea and coffee things. Towels. WiFi worked. Fairly basic room but has everything needed. The window in my room had a view across an open field and the rising sun was visible and quite bright through the curtain! It was peaceful and quiet (pretty much silent during the night, no traffic etc..) so had a good night's sleep. There was a choice of cooked breakfast items, I had full English which was fine.

Lovely rustic feel to property. The room was very spacious with a brilliant shower.Very friendly staff. This is our second visit. We love it because of Max’s restaurant attached to the property. Superb food and lovely staff advising on foods on drinks. Fab value for money.

Very easy to access Durham city centre via car. Did not use taxi. Host is very friendly, dinner on site is very good. Rooms were perfectly heated, very good size and clean. A nice countryside experience. We would return.

It was attached to a lovely Italian restaurant. Unusual location but nice and quiet area.

We loved the room, with its beamed ceilings and lovely views- an orchard at the back, and sheep at the front. It had an enormous and extremely comfortable bed, plenty of sofas to relax on, an en-suite bathroom, and everything else we needed. The staff ( and dog ) were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was very good.

Really nice stay at La Fattoria, we paid for the larger bedroom and it was spacious and clean. Huge bed and lovely duvet. Dinner was delicious and the drinks were really reasonably priced. Not too far from Durham so the number 48 bus was easy and convenient to catch. Alternatively a taxi/Uber wasn't too far or expensive.

It was super clean and really peaceful. Owner is really upbeat and a great chef. Loved the breakfast too. Only 14 pounds in a taxi to Durham City . Great experience and value. We will be booking again soon. X
