Great little hotel, there were no crowds or queues anywhere and sunbeds on the beach were always available regardless of the time of the day. Perfect for a relaxing holiday, as there’s no music or parties at the hotel in the evening. Plenty of good restaurants nearby on the main road and along the beach there’s a few massage places. Staff go out of their way to make everyone’s stay very enjoyable. New Year’s Eve dinner was lovely and with plenty of choice, and celebrating on the beach was one of the highlights of our stay. Along with the most amazing sunsets every day!

The breakfast was very good. The pool area was great and straight onto a very clean beach. The staff took pride in the appearance of the outdoor areas but the housekeeping wasn’t up to much. We got clean towels and a surface clean but for the price it could do with a thorough clean and taps fixing. The bed was huge and super comfy but the sheets didn’t get changed in a week. Sunbed cushions could do with replacing, they were very thin. However the set up was perfect for us.

Anja Resort is a small low rise resort which shares the same strip of beach as the 2 much more expensive resorts ( Dusit Princess and Salinda) either side. With some TLC this resort could be absolutely stunning, it’s showing swear and tear physically- needs painting, some tiles are loose, paths a bit wonky. The air con in my daughters room constantly leaked. It needs a good injection of love and cash to do justice to the location and to fulfill its potential as a lovely boutique hotel. The breakfast is not great, it reminded me of school camps. They are a bit funny about the beach towels so bring your own if possible. I’ve never stayed in a resort where they list the prices of room items if you accidentally break or damage them- our family had a good laugh about the “compensation” list. We had the private pool villa which wasn’t so private and we did get lots of stares from the other guests and staff. As Aussies we were very surprised at the amount of Russians and Polish visitors, but we did come during their winter time. One evening a wedding reception was set up not even a meter from the patio- we were not informed about this at any time until guests started arriving. The bride and groom did keep us happy with unlimited beer though lol The location is great. Lovely sunsets and a very short walk to coffee, mini mart and laundry. The free bus is also just right outside the Salinda resort, it can take you either end of the island. All in all don’t expect luxury- it’s 3 stars at best. But if you go with an open mind and just go with the flow you will relax here.

Our stay was really great. The hotel is super nice. The wooden design gives a nice atmosphere. It has direct access to the beach and a pool with a beautiful small garden. They offer a free airport transfer. They helped us arrange a snorkeling tour. We also borrowed a motorbike and rode around. The small spa is also very nice, the massage was really great. The morning breakfast was very pleasant in front of the beach. Good choice of food. The staff was really nice and helpful!

The hotel is right on the Long beach. The sea is clean. We stayed at the bungalow which is very nice with comfortable beds and pillows. There is a walk-in shower, a bathtub and an outdoor shower in a small courtyard. It is very clean and beautiful resort. You can watch the beautiful sunsets. The staff is very nice, the food is perfect and delicious.
