The hotel was very warm and comforting. It was a great stay and I loved the friendliness and attention of the staff. The food was great. I had dinner and breakfast and both were very good. Also the amazing touch which really made my stay even better was the fact that the hotel reimbursed my parking charges for my stay (as they don't have onsite parking).

A lovely old inn in an important position at the top of the high street. Good standard of decoration and furnishings made exceptional by the huge effort made with Christmas decorations. The staff are always welcoming and helpful but since our last visit there has been a big improvement in the food. It’s now of a high standard.
