The location was great. In the countryside but close to Dumfries and A75. The hospital and farm shop. The kitchen was vèy well appointed . The outside would have been lovely to use,but we visited in January with the snow It was quiet ,warm and easy to make yourself comfortable.

The lodge is in a lovely rural, quiet and peaceful location and yet is really near Dumfries and the main A-road out to Galloway, so very near many of the tourist sites. A perfect location! The host, Wilma, met us on arrival and was really welcoming and helpful. The lodge itself was great - it had everything we needed - it was well equipped (you could actually cook and self-cater) and was warm and comfortable. We had a really wonderful stay! Thank you Wilma!
