Alma House is ideally located near the white cliffs dock area and castle. There is free parking in the road opposite after 5:30 pm. The accommodation is basic but adequate for a short stay. The price reflects this. A staff member let me in and gave me the main door and room code for the day of my stay.

The host was very friendly and helpful. Our text/calls were responded immediately. We arrived quite early, and the host allowed us to leave our bags before check-in. Similarly, the host allowed us to leave the bags after check-out. Both our rooms were clean. The beds were very comfortable. The location is great. Great value for money

A friendly and kind host who cares about his guests. Thank you very much for that. The bed was comfortable, the room had a window with dark thick curtain, shared kitchen, the hairdryer and a pleasant price. The location is perfect, close to the main beach, train station and to the center, 20 minutes to the Dover Castle. Strongly recommend to visit Shakespeare beach, located a bit further from the main beach, but it is a real hidden treasure with breathtaking views.

Close to train station & city centre, with a 24-hr convenience store across the street. Polite & helpful host.

Close to ferry port. Good option for those who need to get on an early ferry and need no comfort. Helpful staff. Convenience store opposite the hotel. Close to town.
