Hassan was the kindest host, he was very friendly, welcoming and helpful, his family was also very nice. We also had dinner one night and the food was homemade and local, cooked by one of his sisters, it was delicious. We had a great stay in Douz at Dar Alibaba, we would definitely recommend it.

Very friendly and helpful host Hassan. Comfortable bed, good hot shower and the best Wi-Fi we’ve had in Tunisia. Excellent value for money.

This was such a fantastic stay, Hassen was so lovely kind and accomodating. He went above and beyond to organise dinner, breakfast, and delicious home made tea. The place was super private and spacious, with beautiful and home-like garden. Very clean, with hot showers too! Very relaxed space. Couldn't recommend it enough!!

We had an amazing stay at Alibaba. The room was small and cute with an en-suite toilet. Strong WiFi. Hot/cold shower. Basic and good breakfast. Very good lunch. The best part was when we had the chance to see how they made cous cous and brik and join the cooking process. Very lovely and sweet people.

Beautiful Tunisian home style property, don’t think I saw a cleaner place in all of my travels nor with a friendlier and more professional host! As a solo female traveller, it wasn’t always the easiest getting around Tunisia but Hasan’s home stands out as one of the best places I stayed - his home was one where I felt the safest and most comfortable. This was sadly not the case everywhere I went. Hasan was in constant communication if I needed it and helped me get to his place late at night. His is the only accommodation of its kind in Douz amongst faceless hotel chains, perfect for solo travellers and backpackers looking for a more affordable and authentic experience.
