The room was warm and clean with towels provided. The kitchen had everything required for cooking meals and Fiona had provided brown bread, eggs etc. Fiona was an excellent host and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

Unbeatable location, friendly and helpful staff. Accomodation is basic but the price is very affordable and the scenery and atmosphere is outstanding and that is what we came to Kerry to experience.

The very friendly and welcoming staff, in the Hostel, and in the Bar. The food served was delicious and the chef was interested enough to come out and see if I was satisfied I had come down to do bit of hill walking in the Brandon Range as well as exploring this stunningly scenic area by bicycle. Coastguard Lodge proved to be an Excellent Base Camp. I was both well rested and well fed for my adventures. Tony Doherty

location was terrific, right by the sea, we swam th next morning. lovely staff in the bar, live music and the owner sean was there charming many people, very friendly staff who could not do enough for you

The staff, the pub, the spa are great. The seaweed bath at the spa is highly recommended. And the fish and chips at the restaurant is the best I've had during two weeks in Ireland.

The hostel was one of the best places we found in Ireland. Simply in a fantastic place. It is a hostel that should be preserved as it is. Simple (not elegant) and just in front of the sea.
