The hotel and staff were absolutely lovely, the buffet breakfast was wonderful and had lots of options to choose from. The pool area was great although sun beds had towels on from very early on so would suggest more sun beds around the pool or a rule that people have to be sitting on them rather than reserving them as this was quite frustrating (although staff were always around to help and ensure you did get a space if needed).

The Diwella Resort and Spa is easily one of the best places to stay in Sri Lanka if you're looking for a relaxing beach stay. We ended up going down to Hiriketiya beach too but that was rammed with tourists whereas Dickwella beach was far quieter and much more serene. My partner both had ayurvedic treatments at the spa. The pindasweda treatment is a must - it's similar to a hot stone massage but they use heated cloth sacks with herbal oils are pressed over your entire body. We also had a seafood platter with crab, giant lobster, prawns and snapper that were caught fresh that morning which the restaurant manager specifically prepared for us upon request. Our room was kindly upgraded to the best room in the resort which had a spacious stand alone bathtub and most importantly a seafront view to wake up to. The staff were all incredibly kind and welcoming. I would definitely visit the Dickwella Spa and Resort again.

Welcoming staff on arrival, room upgraded to an amazing sea view room at no extra cost. Fantastic location right next to Bathigama beach where we saw turtles (great for snorkelling) and some great rustic beach side restaurants and bars. Enjoyed a pizza and live music and breakfast buffet had a good selection. I also enjoyed a 60minute back shoulder and foot massage in the spa which was very relaxing, great pressure too.

The member of staff who ran the pool activities. He invited me to join the aqua fit activity and was very friendly with a good sense of humour. He made the time at the pool a very enjoyable experience. The room was spacious with comfortable beds. Nice view of the sea and could spot a few turtles. Wood-fired pizzas at lunch were very tasty.

The property has beach access which was really nice and easy traveling with a child. Very beautiful beach with relaxed places with free sundbeds when you order something. We had a big room with sea view, perfect space for us and our daughter. People were nice and the pool was warm. Nothing to complain about.

Brilliant hotel right next to the beach and with a great pool. The gym was good (quite small but adequate). The room was really nice and bed very comfortable. The restaurant and breakfast was also excellent.

On arrival at the hotel we were very happy with our choice! The grounds are beautiful and immaculate and the staff made us feel very welcome. We stayed on a B&B basis and the food choice was vast every morning and delicious. The Hotel is located on Turtle Bay which looks like paradise! We had a first floor room overlooking the bay. 30 Turtles live in the bay and are often seen swimming in the water.
