Behind the hotel is a beautiful natural area. The higher rooms at the back offer a view of this and it makes for great walking. The historical town of Diest is at a 30 minute walk with great views. The hotel offers free walking guides in the lobby that show you how to get there (look for the one about Webbekom). Ample parking at the back, well-lit lot. There's also a bus stop in front of the hotel, served regularly during the weekdays, less at night - service stops as early as 21h00 - and in the weekends. Buses in the opposite direction are available via a walking tunnel. The building itself is also charming. A bit close to the highway, but the busy local road at the front gets very quiet at night, making this a fairly calm location overall. Good value with a larger than average room and a basic breakfast included. Common areas welcoming and clean. Friendly welcome by very hospitable person that can easily be tracked down around the hotel if not at the desk.
