We visited Mid-Wales for a 50th birthday trip and booked a double room with an extra-large bed. After making the reservation, we asked the hotel if they could do something special for the birthday, like providing a small cake, chocolates, or balloons. The hotel kindly upgraded us to their suite and arranged balloons in the room, which was a lovely touch. Our stay was fantastic, with dinner and breakfast included in the total cost. The two-course dinner was delicious, and breakfast, served to the table, offered a nice variety of options to choose from.

The room was clean, comfortable and very warm. It was very cold when we arrived. We had dinner in the restaurant, the staff were very friendly, and the food tasted great. Breakfast menu had a good selection too.

Duke of Newcastle suite is large and very tastefully decorated with a combination of old and new styles. Lovely view of the valley from both bedroom windows. Cozy bedroom with good, controllable, heating. Exceptionally comfortable, high quality mattress, duvet and pillows. Had fantastic night sleep. Smart, modern bathroom and very clean with quality complimentary toiletries.

Stayed at The Hafod 27-30 dec it was beautifully clean stylish and very welcoming.Staff were friendly helpful knowledgeable about where and what was on locally.Food was out of this world and the views breathtaking definitely will go back.highly recommended. Thankyou to all staff you made our stay amazing had some lovely chats and nothing was too much trouble.Room was lovely bed so comfortable.The price of our stay was value for money and very reasonable and affordable. 5 star

Everything was first class. The staff were wonderful the breakfast and evening meals were very tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was very nice and comfortable and the bed was the best we have ever slept in.
