We have just returned from a week staying at The Tallow Factory which served as the base for attending our son’s wedding in Manningtree. It provided extremely comfortable accommodation for the nine members of our family plus our black Labrador who stayed here and still had ample room to lay on breakfast for the five groomsmen who arrived on the morning of the weeding. It had everything we could possibly have wanted including a delightful enclosed garden with plenty of garden furniture. When not on wedding preparation duty it was also an ideal location for exploring the area - including a walks from the cottage to Flatford Mill to see where Constable painted ‘The Haywain’ Lou was an exceptionally helpful host and was very responsive to any queries we had. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.
