The owner and his family are just amazing! Great food and great communication during our stay! The owner is so welcoming and helpful! If you have just a quick stopover in Dar Salaam this is the place to stay! Really recommended!

We had an excellent stay at this property, and I highly recommend it! The location is very convenient, just a 10-12 minute drive from the airport. The courtyard is beautiful and well-maintained, creating a relaxing atmosphere. My friend and I booked a two-bedroom apartment for two nights, and it was perfect in size, equipped with air conditioning and fans, and clean and tidy. Getting around was easy, as tuk-tuks were readily available, and the property’s location pin was accurate, making it hassle-free to find. I also tried the breakfast for one day—it was very affordable yet incredibly generous in portion. On the morning of our departure, they even packed a light breakfast for us, which was such a thoughtful gesture. A standout feature of this stay was the staff. They were very patient, helpful, and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Special mention goes to the host, Brown, whose warm smile and willingness to assist made our experience even better. When we encountered an issue with booking a ride to the airport, he stepped in and personally drove us there at a discounted rate to ensure we caught our flight on time. Once we arrived, he even helped me rush with our luggages. His kindness and dedication were truly remarkable. Overall, this accommodation offers exceptional value for money, with great amenities and outstanding service. Highly recommended!

Baba Jays is a safe and comfortable homestay close to the Aiport. We had a flight that arrived late in Daressalam and we were looking for a cosy place where we can start our tanzania travels relaxed and carefree. That is exactly what we found. Mr. Brown picked us up from the airport, helped us to organize ourselves and gave us a lot of valuable information. The breakfast was incredible with a lot of fruits and a variety of local specialities. It was a lovely familiar stay and we felt very welcome. We also liked the neighbourhood that felt authentic and safe, wish we could have stayed longer and definitely will come back

Very nice place and a great welcome to Tanzania. Brown and Peter picked us up very early at the airport and couldn’t have been more welcoming! Lovely relaxed family vibe, great company and delicious and plentiful food. Even went to Sunday music and dance service in the church next door! Highly recommend. Thanks guys!

Great accommodation in proximity to the airport (15 min) with Western standard in calm neighborhood. Clean and spacious rooms. Baba Jay and is family are very welcoming and available anytime to assist. Everything as described and agreeing to all the positive feedback of previous guests. We used the airport transfer for pick up from our inland flight as well as back to the airport for outbound flight early in the morning. Everything went very smoothly and at reasonable rates. Thanks a lot to Baba Jay and his family! We'll definitely recommend your place and come back Mungu akipenda.

- Babajay is a Very responsive and helpful host. - The family home atmosphere. We were made to feel like visiting family members rather than guests at a hotel. - The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in was perfect for our family. It was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. - - Strong and reliable WiFi. - We took the option to have the home cooked dinner and breakfast. This was indeed a good choice. Both meals were amazing. - When we arrived Babajay drove us to a local bar where we had a couple of drinks, then collected us afterwards. He goes that extra mile to help his customers.

Mr Brown and everybody else at BabaJay Family Home are exceptional hosts! They will make you feel welcome and help you with everything you need! The home cooked food was very good as well! I wouldn’t hesitate to book again !

Brown and his family were very welcoming. It was easy to set up an Airport transfer with them and the facilities were very nice. Also, I highly reccomend having dinner here, one of the best meals we had in Tazania.

The host was engaging and very helpful and provided a personal touch to the experience. His family provided plentiful local dishes. The accommodation was very clean. We only stayed for a few hours before we were taken to the airport. The host was informative about certain tourist sights en route. His lovely garden courtyard made the accommodation seem homely in the evening. Will definitely recommend this accommodation.
