Based on local tax laws, Peruvian citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Peru) must pay an additional fee of 18% .To be exempt from this 18% additional fee (IVA), a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented.Please note both documents are required for fee exemption. Guests who are not able to present both documents will be required to pay the fee.Foreign business travellers who require a printed invoice, will also be charged the additional 18% regardless of the length of their stay in Peru. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Especially the bed was very nice. All necessary amenities were available. The room as well as the shared spaces were beautifully decorated. The location was very quiet and felt safe, yet, the historical center was near enough to walk to in 15 minutes. Above all else, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful with everything. Alex went above and beyond to make our stay convenient, and even helped us by recommending restaurants and activities. I would rate this hotel a 11 if i could and I will absolutely recommend staying here.

If you enjoy some quiet from the bustling city center, this place was perfect. Located 15 mins walk from the city center (it doesn’t feel that far honestly), the photos of the hotel are as shown in the pictures provided. The place is really clean and cosy. Giara liaises with the guests ensuring every need is covered. She and the team have been so lovely and helpful throughout. They do prepare packed breakfast for whenever we had to leave early for our tours. Absolutely enjoyed our time at the stay

Casa Esmeralda by Katari is a very quaint and cute property close to Cusco city centre. The facility is clean, pretty modern/charming, and the breakfast was great. Options included bread, fruit, cheese, cereals, yogurt, eggs, etc. You also have access to tea and coffee all day. Cusco city-centre is about a 12-15 minute walk away, which we did frequently and it really was a nice walk, but the roads take some getting used to! Lots of traffic but just follow the street signs and google maps. There is a supermarket within minutes of walking, and 200m down the street from the hotel, there is a chicken restaurant and pizza spot we ordered from frequently (in case you don't want to go back to the centre of the city). Giara, the hotel manager/receptionist, is SO lovely and very easy to communicate with via whatsapp or onsite. I have no complaints! One thing to note, and it's not the hotel's fault, is that water use is limited in the evening for showers because of a water crisis in Cusco. However, after coming back from our Inca Trail trek, Giara turned on the water for us so we could shower. She also let us store our luggage at the hotel while we were on the trek. She is really just a text message away and so accommodating.

Receptionist couldn't do enough for us and was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Room was amazing with glass enclosed balcony and stylish bathroom. Clean and comfortable.

Nice clean rooms. Exceptional staff - were willing to help with everything and kept our suitcases as well for a day when we went to Machu Pichu. Location is also well placed - 10 mins walk from city centre and both the train stations.

Very clean, comfortable room. Giara was super helpful and accommodating with our unusual check in and check out times, and sorting take away breakfasts and everything else we needed. Great to be able to chat over WhatsApp. Thanks, Giara - you were excellent.
