Lovely rustic farm house in vineyard country. Was great to get away from tourist crowded towns and cities. The host Louis is such a lovely man, very hospitable and welcomed us and very helpful. The communal lounge area was very comfortable. It was warm - outside a raging gale! A local and adequate restaurant not far away which was great as the weather was not good and we didnt want to go the extra kms to Vila Real. Quiet location and beds very comfortable and our rooms were warm. I would visit again.

Quinta da Cumieira is a very special place and, the host, Luis is charming and very helpful. Cumieira is well placed for visiting the Douro valley and Lamego, though the roads are not for the faint hearted.
