The hotel is so sumptuous with an eclectic range of furniture and memorabilia of sailing and life gone by. Such fabulous views from glorious windows. Clean and luxurious and comfortable. Great communication. What a wonderful place to experience as part of our walking holiday. In a quiet area of West Cowes

The hotel is a very well preserved Victorian house with an annex within about 25 minutes walk from the centre of Cowes. We had a great bedroom in the annex next door with a superb view over the Solent, and could watch the ships and boats. Great breakfast. Our bathroom however was not good; it was small and awkward to access. Using the loo meant sitting among the towels on the rail. The shower was in the bath with no grab handles so risky to access and with poor water pressure.

My wife and I were very well looked after by Margaret, the owner. She was friendly, kind and considerate, and seemed to appreciate a chat. The room was excellent, despite the squeaky floorboards. The breakfasts were superb, and the cooked portion produced quickly. Margaret gave us dinner on our first evening, despite not normally providing dinner in the off-season. Altogether, a very pleasant experience, and we would have no hesitation in staying again. Thank you, Margaret!
