The fine print
Morning reception and breakfast hours are 08:00 to 09:30 and evening reception and dinner hours are 17:00 to 19:00.Early or late arrivals will find a named map on a clipboard at the reception entry. Guests should take their map and find their room. There are no keys at Crocodylus. Guests will need to return to reception for formal check-in after 17:00.Please note the following opening hours:
- Bar: 17:00-20:00
- Self-catering kitchen: open 24 hours a day.The property offers a rain forest immersion experience. There are no-power phases from 10:30 to 17:00 and 22:00 to 07:00 each day and a period of silence from 21:30 to 06:00 each night. Guests are requested to respect the local fauna, including snakes and spiders. Rooms are minimally furnished.

We absolutely loved the experience of being in the rainforest, and waking to the animals waking up. The sound throughout the night was soothing and I had the best nights sleep in ages. We did the night walk which was fascinating sadly we had young children with us who were tired towards the end so were keen to get home. Probably wouldn't recommend for children under 11. Food was great, the room was huge.

Such a stunning setting in the rainforest. Experiencing nature upclose was the highlight for us. The staff were really helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this accommodation for it’s lack of frills and getting back to the best things in life. Our kids especially loved the pool table.

Amazing jungle setting. hosts Sally and Steve were friendly, informative and made our stay very enjoyable. Recommend doing the night jungle walk with Odin and look out for the Cassawary in the morning! The pool is refreshing on a hot day. Highly recommend this, it’s a hidden gem! Cafe food was lovely home cooked food. Lovely sticky date pudding!

What an outstanding place! This is a must stay spot for those who wish to blend with the Daintree forest/jungle and most importantly, prefer stay in more pristine nature. We also had a magic feeling when swimming at night in their wonderful pool with rainforest leaves above it and gazing at well visible stars. You hear so much around (especially at night) and may also see some lovely rainforest creatures that otherwise you would not spot. It was a dry period then, so we did not experience any mosquitos. They also serve wonderful food and the staff is fantastic. But this place may be not for those who prefer tiled/glassed/cushioned ambience or music/noise- better go elsewhere so not to spoil the tranquillity of this spot. We would definitely stay there again as it was one of most memorable stays during our full month trip in Australia.

Steve the host was great - so friendly and helpful. Pool was nice but the location is what makes this place amazing. Listening to the jungle sounds was incredible

Exactly if not better than we expected. Had a great night's sleep in this peaceful, tranquil environment, Very well looked after by the hosts. We had 6 teenagers with us and everyone had a wonderful time.
